David Beard is a Child Nursing Lecturer in the department of Nursing & Midwifery at Sheffield Hallam University

I was appointed as Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University after completing a Laurea in Molecular Biology at the University of Milan (IT), and a Professional Body course and examination at University of Pavia (IT) and a PhD at University of Birmingham. Anita's background is in adult nursing, community nursing and health visiting. She worked for many years as a frontline Health Visitor, then supporting students undertaking the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing course as a Practice Teacher.

David joined Sheffield Hallam as a full-time Senior Lecturer in February 2021. He worked previously as a Senior Radiographer, Practice Educator and eventually as the Training & Development Manager for medical imaging within a large local hospital trust.
