Building a supportive student community
The Residential Mentoring Programme is a peer-led support service for students staying in halls of residence and creates a supportive community for new students to the University.

Rosa successfully applied for one of Hallam's fully funded Vice-Chancellors PhD Scholarships in 2015 and is now working with Dr Liam Bourke in the Centre for Sports and Exercise Science to improve treatments for prostate cancer. Rosa's survived childhood lymphoma and her experiences motivated her to pursue a research career and help the fight against cancer.

Providing support when it’s needed the most
Generous donations from alumni, staff and friends of the University have helped first year student Kristina get through an extremely challenging time that may have otherwise had a long-term impact on her future.
Students reach the Commonwealth Games
With the support of donations, 15 students travelled to the Australian Gold Coast to volunteer at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in March this year.
Prevention in Probation
Thanks to the Hallam Fund, social justice researchers at Sheffield Hallam will be taking forward the UK’s first review of Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Probation (HMIP).
