As an incoming international student, we are excited to welcome you to our vibrant and diverse community. To help you settle in smoothly and make the most of your time here, we offer a comprehensive orientation program.

This program is packed with essential information about the University, the support services available to you, and is a fantastic opportunity to get acquainted with Sheffield and meet your fellow new students.

To participate, simply book your place by filling out a short form. Our two-day orientation schedule is designed to ensure you start your journey with all the tools and knowledge you need.

Join us for informative sessions in the mornings and social activities in the afternoons on:

• Monday, 13 January 2025 and
• Tuesday, 14 January 2025

You'll also have the opportunity to join us for a fun, informal welcome dinner and a day trip to the beautiful city of York. We look forward to meeting you and helping you embark on this exciting new chapter!

• You will not need to login to access the form. Once you have submitted your choices you will not be able to edit them. If you submit a second form we will disregard your first, and only record your most recent choices.   

• Check the city campus map for the locations of the sessions, and visit the Meet and Greet desk with any questions. 

• Book onto a City Campus tour during Welcome Week.

• You can take part in an interactive online session where we will take you through all the IT systems that you will use at the University. Please book your place on the IT session in advance (booking link published soon).

Walk to Collegiate Crescent and Botanical Gardens

Join us on a walk up Ecclesall Road, a popular student spot, and onto the campus and the Botanical Gardens. 

City tour

Take in the highlights of Sheffield city centre and get to know your way around, all within a walking distance from City Campus.

Meet in the Dorothy Fleming Lecture Theatre for a short briefing before setting out in teams to complete this fun challenge around Sheffield city centre.

Walk to Weston Park

Join us for a 30 minute walk to the beautiful Weston Park, situated in a popular student area of the city.

Trip to York

Popular with local and international tourists, York is one of the most historic cities in the UK. Among its many attractions are the famous castle, minster and museums, including the National Railway Museum.
