In certain situations we might conditionally enrol you. This is a normal part of the enrolment process, but we do need to process and complete all checks within four weeks after your course start date. If you are asked to supply additional information, please do so as soon as possible.
Common reasons for conditional enrolment include:
- Missing entry qualifications
- Professional and DBS checks
What conditional enrolment means
You can still start your course and enjoy the welcome experience while conditionally enrolled.
You will have access to everything fully enrolled students have, including teaching tools, timetables and your Course Induction Schedule.
You will also be able to book and attend welcome activities, both online and on campus.
However, you won't be able to order your SHUcard or get student loan payments until you have been fully enrolled.
What you need to do
If you are conditionally enrolled, we will tell you why and what you need to do next.
You might need to wait for further checks from us, or we might ask you to provide us with more information.
You can check the progress of your conditional enrolment at any time in My Student Record.
