Health and Social Care Application and Interview Support Sessions

Health and Social Care Application and Interview Support Sessions

Come to one of our online support Q&A sessions for health and social care courses and get advice and guidance on completing your application and preparing you for your interview.

On signing up to a Q&A session you will receive a link to a short screencast, We encourage you to watch this before the session, which covers the following:

  • the admissions process including how and when to apply
  • what to include in your personal statement
  • what to expect during the interview stages
  • dispelling any myths or misconceptions about health and social care courses

The Q&A sessions are led by our Health and Social Care recruitment team so it is a great opportunity to ask any questions and learn more. The Q&A session is discussion based so come along at 16:30-18:00 to chat to us. Just before the session you’ll receive an email from us with all the information for joining the online Q&A session.

The support offered is applicable to anyone applying to an undergraduate or masters course prior to qualifying as a registered health and social care professional. If you're already a registered health or social care practitioner applying to continuing professional development courses, you won’t be required to attend.

SHU Progress application support

If your personal circumstances might mean there are barriers to going to university, you may also be eligible for the SHU Progress scheme, which provides additional support throughout your application process, from the year you choose to apply to university through to becoming a university student.
