Students on our events management courses have been working with Festival Republic to help run top UK music festivals. 

At Sheffield Hallam, you don't just learn it - you do it. This means you'll have opportunities on every course to put your learning into practice in a real job, be it a short or long term placement, working on real-world projects or volunteering.

Events management student Ellie completed a festival entrants internship where she worked with a senior manager to help deal with ticket forgery, staff welfare and supporting other event volunteers.

Ellie said, ‘Working with the manager and being able to learn from her experience…brought an insight to festivals that I hadn’t realised.

This role was definitely a boost to my CV. I was able to put a lot of new skills on there and to say I’ve worked for Festival Republic which is such a big company in the festival world.'
