'My course increased my confidence, and enhanced my employability'
Sophie Moore enjoyed her undergraduate in Sport and Exercise Sciences so much, she decided to continue her studies in Sheffield with the MSc Radiotherapy and Oncology in Practice course.
'After my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to work within an NHS clinic, where I was able to interact with patients diagnosed with cancer. These experiences inspired me to take the MSc Radiotherapy and Oncology in Practice course.
'My postgraduate course was hard work, but I managed to balance my schedule and allow time to enjoy my hobbies and interests. There was a great support network and a sense of community among my fellow students. The support available at Hallam helped me to manage my workload.
'This course has not only increased my confidence, but has enhanced my employability and prepared me for clinical interviews following qualification. Working within a multidisciplinary team and interacting with other healthcare professionals on a daily basis really improved my teamwork and communication skills.
'I aim to become a qualified therapeutic radiographer. Over the next few years, I hope to progress in my career to a senior level where I can manage a team and support students throughout their training.'
