Liz Mercuri studies MSc Games Software Development part-time alongside her job as an app developer.

'When I started, the university recommended I apply for the Prince William scholarship, and I was successful. It has changed my life dramatically by presenting incredible opportunities for work experience. I’ve been on workshops and BAFTA networking events and met so many inspiring and awesome people.

My mentor Lizi Attwood has been absolutely incredible. As well as lecturing at Hallam she runs her own games company, and she’s offered me career advice and just been fab.

This masters has given me the skills and confidence to discover what inspires me and what I enjoy. I run workshops for local girls and women who want to get into coding. I’m passionate about spreading the word about games as a career option.

The Prince William scholarship that Liz received is part of the BAFTA Scholarship Programme.
