We have an overall satisfaction rating of 85% for postgraduate taught courses in the 2024 Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey and 83% for our postgraduate research courses in the 2024 Postgraduate Research Experience Survey.

6. Brand new facilities
We're constantly updating and adding to the facilities you'll use on your course. We're investing £250 million in new facilities through our new campus masterplan, with three brand new net-zero buildings and green spaces on the way. This will see new trees planted, more than 400 square meters of new greenery and space for up to 150 people to sit and relax.

7. Stand out from the crowd
The number of people with a strong undergraduate degree is rising, so a postgraduate qualification can make your CV stand out. We work with thousands of organisations, from HSBC to the NHS. These industry partners help design our courses and develop your experience, skills and contacts.

8. Access to funding and scholarships
If you normally live in England, you can access postgraduate loans of up to £12,167 for taught masters and £28,673 for PHD research degrees. Loans are available across most subject areas (subject to eligibility criteria) and can help with living costs while you study. If you’re applying from overseas, we offer a range of scholarships for international students
Home or international students who have completed a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree, PGCE or PhD at Sheffield Hallam or earned a Sheffield Hallam accredited degree from one of our UK and overseas partners in the 2022-23 and 2023–24 academic years will be eligible for a £2,000 discount on fees for a full-time or distance-learning postgraduate courses starting in the 2024–25 academic year.
