Teach early years children

Our Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) courses will prepare you to teach and care for the youngest children in a range of settings, including nurseries, foundation stages, and children's centres.

You will learn from expert lecturers who have a strong reputation for their work in the region and train in a number of local settings and schools, getting the experience you need to start your career.

90% of our student teachers start their careers in early-year settings within six months of completing the course. Just one of the reasons why we’re rated as an ‘Outstanding’ teacher training provider (Ofsted, 2017)

I have a degree

If you have a degree, you can train to qualify as an early years teacher in one year. This course leads to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, as well as Early Years Teacher Status which allows you to start your teaching career.

Funding

These courses are fully funded through the Department of Education (DfE). You could also be eligible for a bursary while you study.

Bursary information may be updated for each year of entry and the information on this page may be subject to change. Please check in at the time of your application for current bursary information. Check the Department of Education (DfE) website for the latest information.
