Transform the performance of your teams by applying practical concepts such as team dynamics, role analysis and systems perspectives.
Who the course is aimed at
We invite applications from mid- and senior-level people who wish to improve the performance of their teams. This includes teams reporting directly to them as well as cross-functional and cross-organisational teams.
Benefits for you and your business
On this course, you’ll learn to use coaching and leadership skills to transform team performance.
You’ll approach conceptual models for leadership and team coaching, considering topics such as lifecycle, role, systems perspectives and emotional dynamics.
By the end of the course, you’ll have an action plan to enhance your team's impact and satisfaction levels — and be ready to make a big impact on your organisation.
Course Overview
On this highly practical course, you’ll analyse ways of working with one of your real-life teams. We invite you to bring, as input, a 1-page description of the team’s background, their issues and any interventions you have tried to date.
The day is structured into three sections.
- Firstly, you’ll examine team coaching and look at a recommended framework for change.
- You’ll then look at a series of practical conceptual models and use them to examine how they may be used to assist your chosen team. This will include reflecting on your own role and the wider system and emotional dynamics that may be at play.
- Finally, you will develop an action plan to further enhance your team coaching knowledge, skills and competence for your own benefit and your organisation's performance.
Delivery Methods
You’ll learn practical concepts and apply them to your real-life work projects. You’ll reflect on your real-world experiences as well as what you learn on the course. You’ll also learn from the rest of your cohort.
We will support your learning with examples, case studies, class discussions, small group work and personal reflection.
