This module aims to provide a starting point for people who wish to pursue a career in sensory science or an overview for managers who wish to become more involved in sensory programmes. This course is accredited by the Institute of Food Science and Technology.

Topics include:

  • Definitions, sensory and the senses
  • The sensory panel and test environment
  • Different tests and uses
  • Basic statistical concepts
