Transnational Education Partners in China
University of Shanghai for Science & Technology 'Sino British College'
The University has a Collaborative Joint Venture Institute (CJVI) approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education (MoE) with the University of Shanghai Science & Technology (USST) and forms a secondary college of USST called the Sino British College (SBC). The CJVI with USST is facilitated by the Northern Consortium (NCUK) and was formed in 2006 with 9 UK universities, including Sheffield Hallam.
In May 2016 the MoE approved the delivery of a 4+0 Sheffield Hallam degree programme in Business Management, taught entirely at SBC with the option for students to study at SHU at level 5 or 6.
The University is also approved by the MoE to receive SBC students via a 2+2 route; the first two years are NCUK level 3 and 4 programmes delivered by SBC, the final two years, across a range of subjects, are delivered by the University in the UK.
