Overview
Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are for candidates from the least developed and lower middle income Commonwealth countries.
Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (DFID) and the University, Commonwealth Shared Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.
What you could get
The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship covers your return airfares between your home country and the UK, tuition fees, visa costs and a living allowance whilst you’re in the UK. For more information about what you could receive, visit the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship website.
Who can apply
Applications are now open for courses starting in September 2025.
You can apply online through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission's website. Applications close on 12 December 2024.
