“An apprenticeship works for me as I gain valuable knowledge and a salary.”

Lewis Tingle is an Assistant Site Manager for BAM Construction UK. He is currently studying our BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Construction Site Management degree apprenticeship course.

After being involved in other projects, Lewis started working as an apprentice in May 2021 and is working on the new Howard Street development at Sheffield Hallam University's City Campus until the project completes in 2024/25. His main role is to plan, manage and monitor what happens on site and to ensure that the team delivers the project on budget and on time.

“Urban planning is great, as there are often many opportunities to contribute towards and learn about wider elements of the industry.”
