“I’m able to study towards a degree without the debt.”
Hafsa is currently studying to be an accredited Chartered Manager through the University’s BA (Hons) Professional Practice in Management degree apprenticeship programme with Morrisons.

“I’m able to study towards a degree without the debt.”
“I’m a practical person, so the idea of sitting in lectures all day really put me off following the traditional university pathway. For me, choosing to complete a degree apprenticeship was an easy option as I am able to study towards a degree without the university fees whilst gaining real-life, paid work experience. As a result, I get to enjoy the best of both worlds!
“By combining work and study, I get to apply the knowledge I have learnt directly in my role at Morrisons. The opportunity to gain practical experience has allowed me to progress at a speed that has exceeded my expectations.
“I started running a small department of 5 individuals, now, I oversee 40 colleagues and 5 team leaders. I’m also qualified as a Manager-in-Charge which means I can be responsible to run the store independently and act as Store Manager.
“Looking back, I feel I have come incredibly far from the shy individual I was when I first started this journey. I have become a confident leader and have learnt how to lead a team and keep them motivated whilst remaining positive.
“I am proud of myself for being able to juggle university and work while maintaining a social life, it was a struggle initially but it pushed me to become more organised.”
