Applying for MSc Midwifery

Learn how to apply for the MSc Midwifery training place through our partnering NHS Trusts.

How to Apply

The MSc Midwifery training places are advertised on the NHS Jobs website. These places are promoted internally through TRAC system or expressions of interest for staff members working at our partnering NHS Trusts. It's important to note that application periods open at various times throughout the year.

Our current partnering NHS Trusts are:

Keep an eye on these platforms and apply when the application window aligns with your plans.

If you are not currently employed at an NHS Trust which provides maternity services, we recommend contacting the Head or Deputy Head of Midwifery at the listed NHS Trust/s to discuss your options.

There will be a joint recruitment process led by the NHS Trust and in conjunction with Sheffield Hallam University. Each NHS Trust will recruit their own group of students. Successful applicants proceed to a joint interview with representatives from both the Trust and Sheffield Hallam University.

Following the selection event, the NHS Trust will manage the recruitment processes, and successful applicants will be required to complete the necessary Sheffield Hallam University application and enrolment documentation.
