Residential support
Moving in to halls can be daunting but we're here to support you throughout your journey. If you are having problems settling in then the following may help.
Residential support service
Our team of Student Support Advisers work to a key set of principles and core values and aim to deliver an accessible, inclusive and high-quality support and guidance service to all students.
The residential support service can help you deal with issues you may experience whilst living away from your home environment, such as:
- your health and wellbeing
- living away from home for the first time
- lifestyle issues
- safety and security
- community integration
- links to other Hallam support services and advice

Safety and security
Your safety and security are of great importance to us. The University's security service operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The service aims to ensure a safe and secure environment for students to study and reside in during their time here.
