Data mining and analytics to improve the performance of Olympic athletes

Ciarán graduated with a Bachelor's degree in sports and exercise sciences with a dissertation in muscle mechanics. He has a Master's degree in sports engineering with a dissertation on instrumented diving platforms. Currently engaged in a PhD looking at open play in invasion game sports. Previous other research projects include the biomechanics of cricket bowlers, the effects and efficacy of cryotherapy modalities, and performance profiling of boxers. He has also worked in technical and academic support for MSc students at two universities.
