English Institute of Sport Sheffield

The English Institute Of Sport is an official satellite campus for Sheffield Hallam University. As well as our students, it's home to Jessica Ennis and many of Team GB's other top athletes.

A number of Team Sheffield Hallam clubs train and play at the EIS Sheffield, including athletics, basketball, netball and volleyball. It's also used for teaching practical elements of our sport courses and regularly hosts the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) championships.

EIS Sheffield is a £20 million state of the art sports facility, providing sport-specific training facilities for athletics, netball, badminton, judo, boxing and basketball.

It also provides the region's top athletes with sports medical services, strength and conditioning, athlete career education and other services.

Sheffield as a city also offers fantastic sport facilities. Sheffield was the UK's first National City of Sport and regularly hosts major sporting events at venues such as Ponds Forge and Sheffield Arena.
