Supporting the effectiveness of the educational workforce. We have a strong focus on professional learning and the professional lives of teachers and educational workers in all phases of education, working across settings with education professionals and leaders on research, professional development and curriculum development to improve practice.  Key focuses include professional development leadership, models of professional learning and mentoring; and the key features of effective professional learning, including evidence-informed practice.

We are active in professional and curriculum development projects in the UK, across Europe and world-wide including in India, Thailand and Brunei. We provide bespoke professional development packages for individual departments and schools alongside a range of courses open to all. We also contribute to the vibrant SIoE Master’s and Ed D programmes, and offer support to schools, for example in Action Research as a staff development strategy.
