We spoke to senior lecturer Glen Cookson and apprenticeships lead Michelle Hardy, who helped design the course with employers. Both worked in accounting before moving into lecturing at the University.
Charlotte Coleman
My teaching interests are focused around children’s development, particularly cognitive development, and developmental research methods. I also teach Forensic psychology, focusing particularly on witness evidence and children’s engagement with the law and law services.
Kerry Griffiths
Kerry joined SIRC in April 2013. She has a PhD in Sociology, and an MA in Sociological Research Methods, with substantial experience in a range of both qualitative and quantitative methods of research. She also has an MSc in Sport Management from Sheffield Hallam University. Kerry's particular areas of research interest include understanding participation in sport, including barriers to participation and participation in minority groups, particularly women and girls; the outcomes of sport, including the physical and the social outcomes, such as the development of identity and community through sport; and the health and fitness industry, including new trends in fitness practices.
Olga Daneyko
Olga is the course leader for the MSc psychology conversion course. She is also part of the teaching team for several modules of Cognitive Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods and the Dissertation module on both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.
