I qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and in terms of practice experience I have worked in both private practice and also as an in-house legal adviser in local government. For instance, as part of Manchester City Council's Legal Department I advised the Council on the contracts needed for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

I joined Sheffield Hallam University in 2007 and I teach on BA (Hons) Children and Playwork, BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and BA (Hons) Childhood Studies

Following over 20 years as a leader in the commercial and non for profit sectors I joined Sheffield Business School in 2012. I teach in the areas of Strategy, Enterprise, Leadership and Innovation, my research is focused on Responsible Leadership and ethical business practice.
