Our health and social care activities support students to explore the wide range of careers available in an exciting, challenging and rewarding sector.
Activities for post-16 students include on-campus taster experiences, off-campus workshops and talks, and online application support sessions. Many activities can also be adapted for a pre-16 audience.
Our activities can cover the breadth of our health and social care courses:
- Nursing (adult, child, mental health and learning disability, social work)
- Midwifery
- Diagnostic radiography
- Radiotherapy and oncology
- Operating department practice
- Paramedic science
- Physiotherapy
- Social work
- Working with children, young people & families
Online support sessions
For advice and guidance on applying to health and social care courses at Sheffield Hallam University, students are advised to attend one of our online support sessions.
Teachers and advisers
If you teach students who are currently studying or looking to progress onto health and social care courses or apprenticeships, our Health & Social Care Partnership Group meets regularly to discuss changes within the sector and the opportunities and challenges they bring.
