Our engineering and built environment outreach activities showcase the wide variety of course options and careers available, whilst supporting students in making informed decisions about their next steps after school or college.
Activities are available covering the following subjects:

  • Aerospace
  • Automotive
  • Chemical
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Building surveying
  • Construction
  • Project management
  • Quantity surveying
  • Real estate

Activities include on or off-campus masterclasses, taster days and talks, for post-16 students. Many activities can also be adapted for a pre-16 audience.

Get hands on with our engineering masterclasses and taster days, tour our facilities including the flight simulator and robotics lab, and find out about our student societies such as Formula Student.

Built enivronment

The Student Accommodation Challenge! - This on-campus taster day gives students the opportunity to experience a mini project, by working in teams to produce their ideal student accommodation. Students design, construct and test structures whilst learning about the wide range of courses and careers available in the built environment sector.
