The Centre for Infrastructure Management's research in this area is designed to enable us to condition monitor, inspect and survey infrastructure, e.g. bridges, buildings, heritage structures, underground systems, water retaining structures, and give expert advice on their repair and maintenance.

Diagnosis and remediation strategies include corrosion of reinforced concrete and steel framed infrastructure including remediation techniques such as cathodic protection, realkalisation and corrosion inhibitors.
