Reins project in the news!

The Reins project, which has been a joint collaboration between the Centre for Automation and Robotics at Sheffield Hallam University and King's College London has been discussed in phys.org, a leading web-based science, research and technology news service, as well as in Electronics Weekly.
The Reins project developed a semi-autonomous mobile robot with sensory capabilities that can be shared with humans. It focuses on haptic and tactile human robot cooperation. As the story in phys.org highlights, the Reins project 'developed revolutionary reins that enable robots to act like guide dogs, which could enable that firefighters moving through smoke-filled buildings could save vital seconds and find it easier to identify objects and obstacles.'
