MERI Student Day a Huge Success!
This year’s MERI Student Seminar Day saw a record number of 2nd year research students giving a talk, 17 in total.
The talks were of a very high standard and at the end of the day two 1st prizes were awarded to Helga Razaghi and Itai Vutabwarova by Professor Doug Cleaver, MERI Head of Programme Area. Along with the success of the 2nd year students, we also saw 11 of our 1st year research students presenting posters. Again the quality of the posters was outstanding and two 1st prizes were awarded to Hikmat Banimuslem and Olu Fatoba.
The day was well attended throughout and all the students who participated in the day’s events contributed to making it a great success. An enjoyable day was had by all.
The posters were titled: 'SWCNTs-CuPc derivatives hybrid films - In association with The Higher Committee for Education Development in Iraq' and 'Lifetime modelling for corrosion fatigue - In association with Manchester 1824'
