Overlooked workforce key to rescuing NHS: Sheffield Hallam commissioned to produce report on allied health professionals

Public Health England has commissioned Sheffield Hallam to scope the impact of allied health professionals on public health. The report is due to be released in June and will identify examples of good practice and where work should be scaled. As the work of AHPs focus on rehabilitating patients towards independence, it is a fairly cheap resource which reduces the need for expensive interventions.
