Research Degree Project
My research work is investigating different types of data transformation and their use to improved compression ratios and image quality. In particular, new methods for reducing matrix data sizes with focus on the minimize-matrix-size algorithm with sequential search applied to high-frequency data.
My initial research has shown that the method compares favourably with traditional image compression methods such as JPEG, JPEG2000 and SPIHT.
