Research Degree Project
Cloud computing is currently the hot topic in Information Technology (IT) as it offers a non-traditional model for managing and implementing IT in enterprises. The level of cloud computing adoption among SMEs has increased in recent years and cloud computing has evolved from being just a hype into being adopted by organisations according to their business needs. Due to its benefits such as low investment for hardware and dynamic scaling, migrating data and application to cloud environment is increasingly gaining popularity in recent times in India. The main aim of this research is to investigate the aspects of cloud migration with particular importance and relevance to SMEs in Tamil Nadu and also to design and evaluate a decision support system for cloud migration for SMEs in Tamil Nadu.
I have presented a paper in 2014 IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Computing Research (ICCIC) held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu based on the original proposal under the title "CMDSSI: A decision support system for cloud migration for SMEs in India".(IEEE catalog Number: CFP1420J-ART).
