Fast area scan with single shot technology
The GMPR research group is focused on 3D image acquisition and understanding. The research is spread in the areas of calibration, image registration, and image reconstruction where, we have been pursuing a strong line of research that has resulted in the publication of large number of papers in international journals and conference proceedings.
We are funded by Sheffield Hallam University and from external sources mainly European funding to develop our patented 3D technologies and seek commercial exploitation. The technologies are suitable for applications in a range of areas, for instance, industrial inspection, medical engineering, security, e-commerce, 3D web visualization applications, architecture and engineering, tourism, games and virtual reality among many others.
