Design Futures

The Culture and Creativity Research Institute is also home to Design Futures, an award-winning product and packaging design research consultancy. The team have been cited as inventors or contributors to a portfolio of intellectual property and in 2013 won the Innovation of the Year award at the UK Packaging Awards.

CENTRIC

The Culture and Creativity Research Institute's Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, Intelligence & organised Crime research (CENTRIC) provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, policy makers and the public to focus on applied research in the Security domain. It has close links, and is currently collaborating with a number of local, national and international Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), security specialist groups and leading technology providers. Funding and financial support

We currently run two initiatives that allow us to work with businesses on a funded basis. Through Innovation Futures, we help Yorkshire-based SMEs develop their ideas into real, tangible projects. And Design Action allows us to help healthcare technology companies carry out innovative new work.
