Sharon Kivland's new work Lalangue, a broadsheet and pamphlet, is part of WORDS, a project by John McDowall for AMBruno, and will be exhibited at PAGES in Leeds.
Lalangue is a report of language without words, where words are replaced by images, and mouths are blocked. To be a body (alive or dead) is to be woven from language. Yes, there’s a Lacanian thing, a certain chose going on here. A broadsheet, a broad sheet, one that flaps, like a tongue with too loose words, that resists easy display...
