Paul Atkinson visited Silicon Valley, California, in February to carry out some research for his next book on the history of computers. On the way back, he stopped over in Georgia to deliver a couple of lectures at Savannah College of Art & Design.

On the evening of the 17th, Atkinson gave a public lecture about his work on Post Industrial Manufacturing, and on the afternoon of the 18th, held a class for Masters design students about Professional vs Amateur Design.
