This full day free event at Sheffield Hallam University aims to inspire through the positive power of fashion. The event is organised by Redress in collaboration with host, Sheffield Institute of the Arts at Sheffield Hallam University. As the only UK university hosting the academy, Sheffield Hallam is part of a network of institutes across Asia, Europe, India and the USA who are supporting designers and students enter the international 'EcoChic Design Award'. At this full-day free-to-attend event, designers will be informed about the environmental impact of the fashion industry and be able to experiment with sustainable design techniques including zero-waste, up-cycling and reconstruction. The day involves an Educators Workshop, Student Fashion Academy and pop-up exhibition and screening of the Redress documentary Frontline Fashion at the Post Hall.
