We ensure our research generates innovative, practical solutions to real world problems, and that through partnerships we deliver wide-reaching societal advances. It is our ambition to identify and lead research in new and emerging areas, and be recognised internationally for research that has real impact.

We have three challenge-led impact platforms - Enabling Healthier Lives, Driving Future Economies and Building Stronger Communities - which sit across structures, framing and building capacity in order to address key societal challenges in interdisciplinary ways, informing our approach to delivering impact.

Impact Support

The University has a flourishing Impact Support Programme, which offers all researchers the opportunity to develop their skills, empowering them to extend the impact of their research.
