10.1 Assessed work, feedback and provisional marks may be returned to students prior to external moderation being completed. As this will happen before marks have been confirmed by the relevant Assessment Board, students should be advised that marks are provisional and are subject to confirmation.

11 MODERATION OF REFERRED AND DEFERRED STUDENT WORK

11.1 As all first-sit student work will have already been internally and externally moderated, and the same marking criteria employed for referrals and deferrals, it is not necessary to send referral and deferral work to external examiners.

11.2 All failed referrals must be internally moderated
