Our commitments to our students
Your community
Our courses are designed to help you thrive by becoming part of our Hallam learning community, supported by and collaborating with staff and other students. Find out how to get involved in the Hallam community.
Your course
We will explain how your course will be delivered and how we expect you to engage with your studies. We will inform you of changes in advance and when you contact teaching staff by email you can normally expect a response within their next two working days. Please note some staff work on specific days, work part time, or could be on annual leave when you contact them, so you may initially receive an automatic reply with an alternative contact and information on support services. Read more about studying at Hallam.
Your voice
Your feedback on your course is important to us. It helps us to keep what you value, while enabling us to make improvements together. We welcome your feedback either directly or through student representatives. We will respond to your feedback promptly and explain how it will be acted upon.
Your assessment
We will explain how and when you will be assessed on your course. We will support you to succeed in your assessments, and give you feedback within three weeks of submission (unless a later date has been communicated in advance).
Your advisers
Three advisers are ready to support you: an academic adviser will help with your studies, a student support adviser will provide personal advice or support, and an employability advisor will give careers advice.
