We’re proud to be recognised as a 'Breastfeeding-Friendly Institution'. Respite rooms are available to students at both campuses. These rooms are available to pregnant students who may need to lie down, or for breastfeeding mothers who may need to express milk or feed their baby.

All rooms should be accessible, however please note, to access the rooms in Adsetts Learning Centre or Collegiate Library, you will need to request access at the library helpdesks. Details of the rooms can be found below. Students can also visit a Hallam Help desk on campus to find out the nearest location of a room.

City Campus

Owen building - Level 6, Room 6T3

• Located just outside of Hallam View, adjacent to the ladies toilets. Open access, no key required.
• Includes: baby changing facility with pull down baby changing mat and waste bin, paper towel roll, sink, electrical socket, fridge, chair and lockable door.

Adsetts Library - Level 4, Room 6439

• Located on Level 4 within the quiet study area. Key available from Library reception.
• Includes: Rest room with sofa and chair with footstool, information phone, lockable door and first aid box.

Cantor building - Level 1, Room 9017

• Open access, no key required.
• Includes: Paper towel roll, sink, electrical socket, fridge, chair.

Collegiate Library - Lower Ground Floor, Room C031

• Digital lock, code available from Library Reception.
• Includes: Rest room with sofa, table and heater.

Robert Winston Building - Level 4

• Open access, no key required.
• Includes: Baby Changing Facility with pull down baby changing mat and waste bin, paper towel roll, sink, electrical socket, fridge, chair, bed and lockable door.
