Connecting to SHU Wi-Fi (Windows 8)

Win 8 is no longer supported by Microsoft. Please upgrade if possible

  1. Right click the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray and select Network and Sharing Center
  2. Click Set up a new connection or network
  3. Click Manually connect to a wireless network
  4. Fill in the Network name as SHU-USS and Security type as WPA2-Enterprise.
  5. Click Change connection settings.
  6. Click the Security tab
  7. Click Settings
  8. Un-tick Verify the server's identity
  9. Click the Configure button.
  10. Un-tick Automatically use my Windows logon.
  11. Click the Advanced settings button.
  12. Tick Specify authentication mode:
    Select User authentication
  13. Click the 802.11 settings tab
    Untick Enable Pairwise master key
  14. Click the Wi-Fi icon and Connect to the SHU-USS network
  15. Enter your SHU username and password. When Connected is displayed as above you are connected to the internet
