Our location
Sheffield, the UK’s fifth largest city, is a wonderful place to live, offering a dynamic, bustling centre while also being the UK’s greenest city, partly set within the Peak District National Park. It’s located in the centre of the UK, with good transport links to London and other major cities.
We have a busy calendar of events and festivals, covering everything from books and music to documentaries and food. Our creative and design industries turn over £1 billion annually, and we punch well above our weight in terms of live music, theatre and art.
Our main City Campus sits in the heart of Sheffield, minutes from the bus and rail stations and the city's commercial centre. Just over a mile away is our Collegiate Campus, in a leafy suburban setting off the lively Ecclesall Road. Both our main campuses offer cafes and restaurants, as well as on-site gyms and libraries.

The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre and National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering are next to each other in Attercliffe, about 15 minutes from the city centre.

Campus plan
We’re currently investing hundreds of millions of pounds in our campuses. We’re developing completely new buildings for Sheffield Business School and the College of Social Sciences and Arts, as well as refurbishing many of our existing facilities, including the Students’ Union.
