Students must attend the placement for the whole period that they have been allocated to their placements. Students must be present for the whole day/shift on all dates assigned to them by their placement provider.
Please ensure that you familiarise yourself and comply with the Placement Attendance and Absence Reporting requirements set out in the documents below. Please also read the advice on the Working Time Directive available on the policy library.
Reporting Absence
It is essential that students report sickness absence as soon as possible to the university as well as to your placement provider when you know that you will be unable to attend your placement.
