Visa support letters 

If you or your guests are travelling from overseas you may need to obtain a visa before you enter the U.K. as a standard visitor. Information regarding entry requirements, and the visa application process, is available to view on the following websites:

if you and/or your guests do require a visa, the Graduation Office is able to provide you with a letter stating that you have been invited to attend your graduation ceremony to support with the visa application process.

How to request visa support letters

Go to your My Student Record account, then click on the My Certificate and Graduation tab. You will then see a link to Request Visa Support Letter. To request your support letter you will need the passport number for each person requiring a letter. 

Letters will be available as a digital download to attach to an online application, or for you to print at home for a postal application. If you are experiencing any problems requesting your visa support letters please contact the graduation office on 0114 225 5353.

Covid-19 regulations

The UK Government sets out the UK's restrictions and regulations regarding Covid-19, and updates them regularly. 

All social distancing restrictions were lifted on the 19 July 2021 there may still be some procedures in place for you to follow, both as you enter the country and whilst you are here. 

Please ensure you check all regulations relating to travel between yours and your guests' country and the UK at the time of your journey.
