Information desk

• Find us in the foyer for all your graduation queries, including how to validate your discounted parking tickets and tokens. 
• We'll be open 30 minutes before your ceremony begins and 30 minutes after it ends.

Gift shop

• The gift shop will offer a range of Hallam goodies, including our graduation teddy bear and Class of 2024 T-shirts.

Refreshments

• Ponds Forge café offers a delicious range of food and drinks, open from 8am until 6.30pm.

Gown return

• You’ll be able to return your gown after your ceremony to Ede & Ravenscroft. Please note this is gown return only – the collection point is at Owen Building, City Campus. Gowns must be returned by 6pm on the day of hire.

Accessibility

• Ponds Forge is fully accessible. Free car parking spaces are available on the top floor of the car park for Blue Badge holders. These are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
• Please follow the instructions on the pay machine. On arrival, park in a space, place your Blue Badge in your windscreen and take a photo, making sure the badge is clearly visible.
• Go to the graduation information desk and ask them to add your vehicle to their safe database. They'll need your Blue Badge and car registration number.
• There’s a lift from the car park to the foyer and the centre is also accessible from the front of the building.
• Accessible toilets are available next to the Graduation Hall.

Parents and children

• Pushchairs and prams aren’t permitted inside the Graduation Hall, but stewards will help you store them.
• For security, please don’t leave personal items in prams or pushchairs.
• Babies and children who become restless during the ceremony can be taken to the café area where the ceremony will be shown on screens.
• Baby changing facilities are available next to the Graduation Hall.
• Please bear in mind that although graduation is a celebratory event and children are welcome, it can be a long time to expect a child to sit. If babies and children become restless a steward will ask you/your guest to leave the Graduation Hall to watch the ceremony in the café via our live stream.

Cloakrooms and storage

• There’s no cloakroom at graduation, so only bring what you need.
• We do have space to store prams, pushchairs and mobility scooters.

Lost property

• Sheffield Hallam University and Ponds Forge aren't liable for any personal items lost or stolen while at the ceremony.
• If you lose any items at Ponds Forge, please ask at the information desk in the foyer or call the Graduation Office on 0114 225 5353.
