Preparing for a study exchange or a work placement abroad?

Outgoing students

Once you have applied, and have your place confirmed, you should research your partner institution/employer and host city/country. You will be invited to attend study exchange/placement abroad support sessions which you must attend. During the sessions, you will be given advice about:

• Visa requirements
• Insurance
• Finding accommodation
• Settling in
• Culture Shock
• Keeping safe
• Managing your money

Once you have attended these sessions, you will be given the option to book an individual appointment for support with your visa application.
