Overview
We are offering an automatic tuition bursary for students from selected regions, on courses starting in September 2024 and January 2025.
What you could get
Depending on where you live and what you are studying, you could get up to £3,000* for your first year of study.
South Asia includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
South East Asia includes Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines or Vietnam.
*Discount will be applied pro-rata for students who enrol upon a postgraduate course where they are required to complete less than 180 credits.
Who can apply
To be eligible you must be:
- domiciled in Nigeria, Ghana, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines or Vietnam.
- self-financing your tuition fees.
- entering a full-time taught postgraduate course or a full-time taught undergraduate course.
- starting in September 2024 or January 2025.
- studying at Sheffield Hallam for the first time.
You do not qualify for one of these awards if you have studied with us before but you may qualify for an Alumni Scholarships instead.
You can only receive one award or scholarship. If you apply for and are offered more than one, you will need to choose which award to accept.
Your fee cannot also be discounted by another arrangement such as a corporate contract or partnership discount.
All decisions on eligibility for these awards are at the University's discretion and are final.
How to apply
Vice-Chancellor's Awards are applied automatically and confirmed in your offer letter.
If you receive an award, you still need to:
- meet any academic conditions in your offer
- pay your deposit
- pay the remaining prepayment (£8,000 in total which includes your deposit)
