Annotating a recording

Annotating a recording

When recording, a visualisation of the audio is created on the right of the screen.

You can now start to use the bar at the bottom right of the screen to add notes and highlights to the recording.

Pressing on the label buttons in the bar and then pressing enter or the arrow in the Notes box will add them directly into the audio visualisation a few seconds before, to allow for reaction time.

Be aware that when Glean is not maximised (full screen) the label buttons will appear as icons only without the label name.

You can also add notes as you add the labels by typing in the Notes box and then pressing the Enter key or clicking on the arrow. You can also just add notes without any labels by typing in the Notes box and pressing Enter.

You can add notes retrospectively if you find it difficult to make notes whilst in taught sessions, or if you prefer to listen back to recordings before making notes.

Separate out notes relating to the same slide by using the Heading label - you can then name the Heading accordingly.
