What can you do with a degree in teaching?

A degree in teaching or education opens doors to many rewarding careers:

Education and teaching: Become a qualified teacher in early years, primary, secondary, further or higher education — or teach English as a second language (TESOL). You could also work in education consultancy, curriculum design or a leadership role in schools and universities.

Child and youth support: Work in educational psychology, emotional and behavioural support, special educational needs (SEN) or community services.

Community and public services: including roles in local government, NGOs and charities. Jobs include prison education, museum education or adult learning to support lifelong development.

Education policy and management: Develop a career in education leadership, research or government policy, shaping the future of education.

Our graduates benefit from strong employment prospects, with 1,000 new teachers trained by us each year. We produce a quarter of all newly qualified teachers in Yorkshire, and our graduates are highly sought after across the UK and beyond.
