Our engineering degree courses cover a wide range of specialisms, including aerospace, automotive, electrical, manufacturing and food engineering. Many of our engineering courses are accredited by professional bodies, and all are informed by partnerships with major regional, national and international employers, such as BOC, Siemens, Stanley Black & Decker, QinetiQ and Netflix.

Taught by the School of Engineering and Built Environment, our engineering courses provide the knowledge and skills needed to build a successful career in this ever-evolving field.
At Sheffield Hallam, you will be an engineer from day one. You’ll study in our £11-million Hertha Ayrton STEM Centre and gain hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment and facilities, including flight simulators, wind tunnels, automotive workshops, and robotics, thermofluids and structural integrity labs.
Develop a strong knowledge in engineering principles, problem-solving and emerging technologies. Work on live projects set by engineering employers and international organisations, applying your skills to tackle real-world engineering challenges while gaining hands-on experience. With access to industry links and professional accreditation, you’ll enhance your engineering employability and career prospects.
